A frontline therapy for cardiologists. A lifeline for patients. The Mitralign System for FMR.
Breakthrough treatment for functional mitral regurgitation
- Customizable percutaneous solution
- Adaptable for the size of the ventricle
- Allows for future clinical options
Mitralign provides interventional cardiologists with the tools they need to perform a minimally invasive, percutaneous procedure to relieve symptoms of heart failure.
The procedure provides an alternative to open chest surgery using standard interventional cardiology techniques to perform a mitral annuloplasty. Most importantly, Mitralign preserves all future treatment options.

3 Main Steps of the Procedure
-
Wire placement
13.5 Fr guide catheter is positioned in the left ventricle and two wires are placed in the mitral annulus.
-
Pledget delivery
Two pledgets are delivered to the annulus over the wire.
-
Plication and lock
The pledgets are plicated (pulled together) and locked in place.
The procedure uses fluoroscopy for guidance. 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography are used to confirm position.
