Rick Geoffrion
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Geoffrion carries with him over 25 years of management experience in the medical device industry and more than 20 years specifically in the cardiovascular space. A co-founder of Mitralign, he has previously led the company foundation, deal structuring and served as the early stage CEO for five medical device companies in addition to guiding the recapitalization and redirection of two other successful medical device companies. Mr. Geoffrion is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CircuLite, Inc. and Mitralign, Inc. and he has served as the Chairman of Impella CardioSystems AG, CircuLite, Inc. and FlowMedica, Inc. He holds a BSME and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
Richard J. Omilanowicz
Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Omilanowicz brings 32 years of manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and product development experience in the medical device and plastics industries. Richard most recently served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations of St. Jude Medical, Inc.,/Endocardial Solutions, Inc.. Prior to that, Mr. Omilanowicz served as General Manager of McKechnie Plastic Components and Director of Research, Development and Engineering at the Pharmaseal Division of Baxter International, Inc.
Steve Cahalane
Senior Director of Engineering
Steve has over 20 years of product development, operations and quality management experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Mitralign, Steve worked in R&D and Operations management at Percardia Inc. Prior to that he worked in Operations and Quality Assurance management roles at Boston Scientific and quality engineering at Bard. He holds a BS degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Lowell.
Chris Lee
Director of Research and Development
Chris brings over 20 years of experience in development and manufacturing of medical devices. Prior to joining Mitralign, he was with LightLab Imaging, now part of St Jude Medical. Chris has also held product development leadership roles at Surgivision, GMP Companies and at C.R. Bard / AVE and Medtronic. Chris has a BS degree cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston.
